BIOGRAPHY:

1945 Nace en Málaga.
1955 Ingresa en la escuela de bellas de Málaga. Finaliza los estudios con Matrícula de Honor.
1960 Asiste a las clases particulares del maestro pintor Alfonso de la Torre (especialista en paisaje andaluz y de su luz). Aprende la técnica de pintar el paisaje del natural durante tres años.
1965 Entra en el taller del malagueño Pablo García Rizo, pintor especializado en la Naturaleza muerta y cuadros de flores.
1970 Dada su admiración por los maestros del s. XIX y su pintura se dedica durante cinco años a copiar del natural en museos de Málaga, Córdoba, Sevilla, Granada. Esta producción es adquirida por coleccionistas y marchantes.
1980 El erudito y escritor de temas relacionados con los caballos españoles, Juan Carlos Altamirano, le sugiere pintar cuadros con temas de Cartujanos y caballos cartujanos. Promociona los cuadros en Sudamérica y entre los ganadores españoles.
1985 Durante cinco años pinta en exclusiva para la galería de Arte Cartel (Málaga). Su director, Manuel Ortega Arteaga, promociona la obra por EEUU efectuando Varias exposiciones.

Painter and sculptor, combining my work in painting and sculpture whit net-art experiences.
Eventual teacher at the Master de Infografia at the Facultat de Belles Arts of the University of Barcelona, at Carto Multimedia School of Barcelona, and at ADAMS school of Barcelona too.

BIOGRAPHY:
Artista plástica nacida en Córdoba, pero radicada desde su infancia en la ciudad de Salta, Argentina.
Pinta con verdad, con esa verdad que basta. Ha escogido como tema el paisaje de su tierra y el dominio tradicional, hechos para seducir y no para sorprender.
Su laboratorio es la vasta naturaleza, matizada de realismo moderado. En su paleta predominan los ocres a las tierras pardas.
En sus obras, figurativas por excelencia, no hay escenografía ni arreglo, es la verdad desnuda en la frescura de su paleta.

Autodidacta, toma su obra desde calles sencillas, con gente sencilla y aporta la misma paciencia amorosa por las costumbres de los habitantes pueblerinos los que son sobriamente coloreados y lucidos en óleos y acrílicos.
Desde 1995 recién da a conocer su obra, realizando numerosas exposiciones , tanto individuales como colectivas, en su ciudad, en nuestro país y también en el extranjero. Ha sido merecedora en tan poco tiempo, de varios premios y menciones.
Sus obras se encuentran en numerosas instituciones culturales y colecciones privadas del país y del exterior.

Nació en México en 1960. Incursionó en el arte de manera lírica y circunstancial, en el año de 1975, trabajando el óleo.

Posteriormente fue perfeccionando su técnica y tomando clases de dibujo, pintura, escultura, performance, comunicación gráfica, historia del arte, figura humana, arte objeto, grabado, batik, medios mixtos, abstraccionismo, resinas y moldes y pintura experimental, monotipo, así como artes visuales en las que cuenta con una maestría del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes.

Ricardo Antonio Frank es un artista dedicado al dibujo para niños y Comic.
Naciò en Santiago (Chile) el 4 de Abril de 1960, viviò en su paìs 24 años, luego se trasladò a Alemania donde reside y se ha radicado en forma definitiva hace ya 26 años.
Desde muy niño, ya a la edad de cinco años le atrajo el dibujo, fue asì que màs adelante se perfeccionò y cursò sus estudios de arte y dibujo en el Intituto de Chile. Se proclama un artista autodidacta habiendo realizado varias exposiciones en distintos paìses.

Por debilidad más que por Antojo; por petición más que convicción y como ánima que lleva el tiempo, escribo estas notas biográficas con la nostalgia de mejores vivencias. Soy de México, de su ciudad, y gracias al tezontle -como primera piedra- el rojo comenzó a retumbar entre mis ojos y el cascabel se escucha por los cuatro puntos cardinales. Como tantos otros, tuve que dejar mis lecturas para entrar a la UNAM para cursar la Licenciatura en Comunicación Gráfica en la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (Antigua Academia de San Carlos). Tuve el descaro de impartir el taller de Dibujo durante doce años en la UNAM. A la línea le faltaba la palabra y entré a la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras y por un descalabro gramatical, no sé conjugar el verbo someter, soy independiente, es decir hombre libre, si la arrogancia no me cobra la factura. Vivo de la pintura y de lo que sea su voluntad. Desde el año de 2004 radico en la medieval ciudad de Oporto, en Portugal y escribo estas líneas en la que será mi casa durante un tiempo en Los Álamos, New México en los Estados Unidos, buscando en el desierto, tal vez, las verdaderas humedades.

Yo no nací en el mar, nací en octubre y con la inercia del otoño, cotejo la apariencia de las formas con la certeza del dibujo. La línea que inventa y persigue la forma. La cadencia que deja a su paso; su novedad.

El deseo de rasgar el silencio. Desatar lo que no es reflejado por los espejos. Murmurar en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, los signos que somos. La libertad de decir o callar. Embarcarme en los corredores nocturnos como luciérnaga. Sentir el vértigo de la caída. Llenarme de amarillo. Presentir que el latido del mundo es un eco y que el tiempo se calcina. La creación es una sed de aguas heladas. Se navega, parece que el puerto está cercano, pero los pájaros te dicen que al final sólo se levantan bardas: campamento de nubes. Tienes que empezar otra vez. La sed no se calma aunque la nombres. Dibujar es un acto teatral. Poner en escena el drama. El juego de siempre, el que nos mantiene juntos. El que nos permite tener el alma navegable. Dejar en un abrazo que la luz se desnude.

ALGUN DISEÑO

Algún diseño de tulipa
hoy la tarde tiene.
Incurables sauces
abandonan sus dolencias,
y aquellos huérfanos paisajes
de la sierra dejan su plegaria trunca.

Algo que no eres tú se esfuma
solitario a contra luz por la ventana,
y hueca y desabrida, una lluvia
moja las calles caminadas.

Bermejo es hoy el caracol del frío.
Yo espero que la niebla cenicienta
despeine, al pronunciar tu nombre,
esta helada embriaguez de estar sin nada.

Thomàs Leiva Artista Peruano.
Egrese de la Escuela de Bellas arte en 1999 en la especialidad de pintura, participe en algunas muestras y me dedique a la restauración de bienes culturales y el diseño.

Mi trabajo narra historias que yo mismo cuento, recreo imágenes que nunca he visto o que históricamente ya no existen por el paso del tiempo, o imagino hechos que sucedieton en algún momento de la historia de la humanidad y que solo conozco por referentes temáticos.

Soy exigente con mis materiales y por ello experimento con muchas técnicas, se como reaccionan mis materiales uno con otro; y por esa creencia de que el arte es eterno...espero que mis trabajos duren más tiempo que yo.

Biography

After graduating from Illinois State University and the American Academy of Art, Kevin set out on a free-lance illustration career which lasted thirteen years. Working mostly in the editorial area of illustration, his work consisted mostly of paintings for book covers and magazines. Some of his clients include: Penguin Publishing, Viking Press, Houghton Mifflin, Harlequin, Signs of the Times, Guideposts, Readers Digest, and Golf Digest.
" I had always dreamed of becoming an Illustrator," explains the artist. " But the demands of painting someone else's ideas finally took it's toll. I decided that life is too short and that I had to paint from my heart. We're only given one chance at life, and I had to paint what was important to me. What's important to me," says Kevin, " Is that I try to capture a little of what God has already created in each of my paintings. One can obviously see the beauty of God's creation in nature, but for me it is even more profound when I see and experience that beauty in people."
"Someday you'll find me out painting landscapes, but for now I love to paint the human figure. I find it stimulating to interact with my models as we explore ways to capture what might make an interesting painting. I often come to a modeling session with a preconceived notion of what I would like to explore, such as lighting, color, symbolism, or costuming, but it is usually the model that comes up with the most natural pose allowing more of their true selves to shine through."

Kevin's training at the American Academy of Art in Chicago was his biggest influence on his art career. "Our training was in the classical tradition," he explains, " "we had two classes a day: a 3 hr. figure DRAWING session in the morning, and a 3 hr. figure PAINTING session in the afternoon. With training like that, it's hard not to fall in love with the human form. Whether the figure is clothed or unclothed, the artist must meet the unique challenge presented by both."
Kevin says, " I believe there are endless possibilities when painting the human figure. Even if you were to paint the same model over and over, you can always explore and find something new and beautiful to express in a painting. I hope to express that same beauty I experience in my models to the viewer, so that they might also share in that same experience."

Morgan, much younger than his brother and sister, began his artistic training as early as 19 months old. His father would sit with him on his lap at night and teach him how to draw and use his imagination. " My dad and I bonded together with drawing and spoke to each other with pictures". Weistling's father had a real talent for telling a story in comic strip form and so it began in Morgan, a natural sense of the narrative."It was here that art became a language for me".
That led to his studying the art books his father had acquired years earlier. Authors such as Andrew Loomis, Vanderpole, and Bridgeman. The most important books, though, were the volume set from the Famous Artist School.
At the age of 12, Weistling was determined to go through the entire course on his own since the school was no longer in existence. By the age of 15, his study of anatomy, drawing, and painting needed a mentor's direction.
That direction came through a retired illustrator named Fred Fixler. Fred's school, then called the Brandes Art Institute, was dedicated to one thing: learning how to draw from life. "The minute I saw his life drawings I knew this was the guy to study with, there was no doubt," says Morgan. Working part-time as a janitor for the school to pay his tuition, Weistling studied there for 3 years.
While still a student and working at an art store, one day a prominent illustrator came in for supplies. Weistling showed him his student work. The next day he found himself employed at one of the top movie poster agencies in Hollywood. "At that time, all I wanted to be was an illustrator," Weistling says, "but that was amazingly fast." For the next 14 years he illustrated for every movie studio in Hollywood as well as many other fields of illustration.
After being art-directed for years, Morgan needed to paint something for himself. He took time out to produce a painting of two children and brought it to Scottsdale Arizona on the advice of long time friend, Julio Pro .
The first gallery he walked into signed him on the spot, Trailside Galleries. Co-owner Maryvonne Leshe was quick to spot new talent. She was soon proven right. "He would send his paintings to us un-framed and before we could get them hung, they would be sold," quips Maryvonne. Soon a "draw" system for Weistling's paintings became necessary. His first one-man show had 26 paintings and all were sold opening night. Since then, Morgan has had five more one-man shows and they sold -out opening night as well.
Also interested in depicting his Christian faith, Morgan has portrayed the life of Christ in many of his paintings. Those images can be found in the best selling book, The Image of Christ, with paintings and text by Morgan.
Greenwich Workshop publishes his paintings as giclee canvases.
Morgan and his wife, JoAnn, have been married since 1990 and also met in art school. JoAnn is represented by Trailside Galleries and paints under the name "J. Peralta" in honor of her grandmother. They have two daughters, Brittany and Sienna. Both girls model for paintings frequently.

Sara vive, pinta y sueña en Buenos Aires. Es argentina; en 1985 tomó clases de pintura con el Maestro Febo Marti. En 1986 se trasladó a Madrid por más de tres años donde adquirió mayores conocimientos sobre distintas técnicas con acuarela, pastel, óleo, carbonilla, etc, con las profesoras Pilar Alcázar y Rosa Calduch. Ya de regreso, integró desde 1999 durante dos años el grupo “Tea” bajo la coordinación del Maestro Marino Santa María y la crítica de arte Rosa Faccaro. Asistió a diversos cursos de capacitación. Intervino en más de 350 muestras, en Buenos Aires, en el interior y exterior del país, en Museos, Galerías, Centros Culturales, Ferias y Bienales.
Realizó 25 muestras individuales: Municipalidad de la Matanza, Ramos Mejía 2009; Centro Cultural Marcó del Pont 2009, Centro Cultural del Sur 2008; Manzana de las Luces 2007; British Arts Centre en Buenos Aires en 2006, Casa de la Cultura de Ramos Mejía en 2005, Galería Núcleo de arte 2004, Centro Cultural Islas Malvinas 2002, Museo de Bellas Artes de Catamarca 2001, etc.

Desde el 2000 investiga sobre la iluminación de la obra desde atrás. Para ello pinta al óleo sobre lámina de resina o de acrílico, y usa como soporte una caja lumínica. Presenta estas cajas en conjunto como Instalaciones. Además, pinta sobre diversos soportes como madera, tela, papel, tela plástica, etc. Desarrolla arte digital .
En 2005, ilustró el libro de poesías “Estuario: remotas estancias”, de la escritora mexicana Reyna Armendáriz González y en 2009 "Las aventuras de Miki y Mika" para niños. Estudiantes de Escuela media y universitaria de Bellas Artes han realizado trabajos sobre su obra. Su obra forma parte de la nómina de artistas plásticos en numerosas publicaciones sobre Arte Contemporáneo tanto argentinas como extranjeras: periódicos, revistas, libros, Cds y sitios de Internet y constituye el staff de la revista "5artes" para la cual también escribe.
Varios críticos han destacado sus obras y en particular reconocida como artista en el libro "La pintura en la Argentina" por la autora María Laura San Martín. Mayo 2007.

Del universo de formas a la mujer como punto de confluencia.
Formas, curvas, voluptuosidades, líneas sin rectas, sin angulosidades ni asperezas. La pintura de Antonio Sánchez-Baute es el universo de lo gestual curvilíneo hecho mujer. Damas del sexo femenino, de educada elaboración, insinuaciones de sensaciones florales, libres, que se mueven a través de campos, ciudades y estancias. Aborda el sello de lo femenino incidiendo en lo puramente bello, en el volumen de la forma curva, que se adentra en la fenomenología del gesto.
Exhibe adscripciones a un determinado sentido de la estética en las que lo escultórico predomina, dirigiendo el rumbo hacia la determinación de la sensualidad. Para ello hay dos conceptos que aplica de forma constante: el desnudo, para realzar la pureza de la forma, a presencia de lo sensual entendido como parte inherente y natural de la mujer como ser humano.
La otra consideración es la facilidad por el contraste del color, que unido, a la prominencia de la curva, produce un resultado explosivo, pero, sin embargo, controlado, en el que la elegancia predomina.
Los torsos y los pocos desnudos masculinos, también poseen una tendencia grandilocuente, a mostrar el poder del músculo y el sexo visto de refilón.
Es una obra que se fundamenta en criterios absolutamente pictóricos, buscando consolidar una pintura con sello personal, aunque, en ocasiones, el artista se permite ciertas licencias más anárquicas, para demostrar que su visión está al margen de tendencias.

Edna Kannan

(México D.F., 1975)- Artista mexicana de ascendencia árabe e italiana que ha destacado como pintora, bailarina y galerista. Criada en una familia de artistas, comenzó a muy temprana edad sus estudios de danza con su hermana Mirna, que completaría desde 1999 en la Academia de baile flamenco de la afamada coreógrafa Cristina Aguirre, en ciudad de México. Ese mismo abrió en San Luis Potosí su propia Academia de danza, de la que sería directora y coreógrafa.

Durante una estancia en Estados Unidos fue invitada a presentar un programa de televisión, pero hubo de regresar rápidamente a México para cuidar de su madre, afectada de un cáncer de garganta. En 2003 abrió en Guadalajara su segunda Academia junto a su hermana Mirna, pero una grave enfermedad le obligó a abandonar la danza algún tiempo después; oficializó su despedida en una presentación en el Teatro Degollado del ballet Las Cabales.

Ese mismo año se inició en la pintura sobre porcelana de la mano de su madre y obtuvo un éxito inmediato, recibiendo enseguida invitaciones para exponer en el extranjero. Completó su formación en esta especialidad en diversos talleres dirigidos por Elvira Aguiar, Piedad Barradas, Rocío Borovia, la cubana Ivonne Planos y la brasileña Thais Antunes, entre otras. Es sus obras recrea personajes de culturas antiguas o exóticas o trata temas del arte sacro con extraordinaria viveza, utilizando innovadoras texturas y obteniendo singulares efectos mediante realces con oro y piedras preciosas.

En 2005 presidió el Club Minerva de pintores y compaginó su labor artística con la docencia. Habiendo recuperado por completo la salud, fundó en 2006 la Kannan Gallery, en la que reúne y representa artistas de todo el mundo en las más variadas disciplinas: música, danza o artes plásticas.

Personalidad influyente, Edna Kannan ha sido la inspiración de grandes artistas, como Eloisa Benitez y Hector Monroy, quienes en estos momentos se encuentran en la creación de una obra pictórica en honor a ella. La fortaleza de su carácter convive en ella con su admirable sencillez y su altruismo, que le lleva a renunciar a todo lujo y a dar sus ganancias a los más desafortunados.

Actualmente centra toda su atención en la expansión mundial de su galería de arte y en la organización de los Premios KannanGallery, en cuya ceremonia de entrega, que se celebrará en México cada dos años, compartirán escenario grandes artistas de todo el mundo. My name is Mark Chadwick and I have been studying fine art at Birmingham City University and Sutton Coldfield College since 2001 exploring a wide range of methods in painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and print. My main area of interest is in painting and my recent works have involved the process of making marks with tools and mechanical objects such as toy cars. I have completed my MA course in Fine Art where I exhibited in the Fine Art Show – Clutching at Straws. Previous to that I obtained a BA in Fine Art (First Class with Honours), a HND in Fine Art, Foundation Art and A-Levels.

My art practice is concerned by the use of machines in the production of an artwork. With our culture becoming more and more engaged with new technologies, my work questions the implications of handing over control of an artwork to a mechanical device. With the actions of any machine the result of human intention, I use machines to allow chance to enter the creative process, exploring ideas surrounding authorship, consciousness and interaction. I allow my tools to create their marks and record its action in a physical way on to the canvas. Currently my work is concerned with painting process as the performance aspect of the production of an artwork, exploring the relationship forged between materials, aesthetics and perception across cultures. I use machines/technology to allow paintings to make themselves in order to further remove the hand of the artist. Once set in motion I often remove myself from the studio and painting process.

Born in 1975 in Krasnodar, Russia, Anna Vinogradova began painting as a small child, entered first the Yaroslav Art College and then the renowned St. Petersburg Academy of Art, one of the finest, most competitive art schools in the world.

She very quickly earned a living from her art selling her student sketches, drawings and paintings even in her first year at the Academy. Every few months her schoolwork was routinely purchased by eager dealers and fans. Soon, such a reputation attracted dealers from abroad some of whom even offered to buy works she hadn’t yet painted!

After she graduated summa cum laude with a special citation, her career really began to take off and today Anna Vinogradova is a star of the bustling art scene in St. Petersburg and poised for international recognition.

The paintings of Douglas Hofmann have been critically acclaimed for their glowing surfaces, sumptuous details and softly lighted forms. Douglas's work have been exhibited in numerous group and one-man shows at prestigious galleries and museums in every major city in USA and Japan. His lithographs have introduced Douglas' work to a wide range of collectors. Beautifully produced they are the epitome of fine art publishing, utilising traditional methods to create original print of the highest standard. Nikolai Blokhin was born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1968. His education in art began very early at the Art School fo Gifted Children in 1980, and continued through his postgraduate work and professorship at the prestigious St. Petesburg Academy of Art.

Kelvin Lei - Chinese

Kelvin Lei was born in 1954 in Canton, China. For several years, he studied traditional Chinese figure drawing with Zhiguang Yang, one of the most famous artists in China. In 1975, Kelvin was admitted to The Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art in Canton -- the school considered to have the very highest standards - to study oil painting.
After graduating in 1979, he immigrated to Hong Kong with his family and began his career as an artist. Because of the colonization of Britain, Hong Kong is a city filled with many western influences, and it was there -- inspired by the western atmosphere -- that Kelvin's paintings began to show a very classical European style.
In the past twenty years, Kelvin's paintings have not only been sold in Hong Kong, but also in Japan, Singapore, and many European countries such as England, Norway, France, Germany and Sweden.
In 1999, Kelvin moved to America and resides in Northern California.

SOBRE MI TRABAJO
Se me ha pedido que haga una reseña sobre mi propuesta artística para mi última exposición individual a realizarse en el Museo Mateo Manaure de Maturín, que llevará por título: “Recuerdos de Ávalon”, y como ya se ha vuelto casi una costumbre enterraré mi pincel de artista y desempolvaré mi pluma de aprendiz de crítico.
Dejando aparte la natural tendencia que tenemos los artistas visuales a considerar como prioritarios los aspectos plásticos de una obra, a mi en lo particular siempre me ha preocupado en la misma medida el concepto de la misma y atendiendo a esta inclinación personal he tratado de reflejar en mis trabajos mi propia visión de la realidad.
Me seduce por sobre todo el mundo mágico, El Macondo de García Márquez, la transrealidad. Pienso que la realidad que percibimos con nuestros sentidos es solo una ínfima parte de la que existe a nuestro alrededor. Nosotros somos materia consciente de si misma a un nivel elemental, solitarios y vulnerables, encerrados en nuestro propio universo personal, nos aferramos a las religiones al arte y a la ciencia, tal vez en un vano intento por burlar a la muerte, o tal vez como una manera de traducir los misterios que se abren a nuesta mente.
Es necesaria por consiguiente en mis pinturas y esculturas la figura humana, como la única manera de expresar a través de las deformaciones del canon y otros símbolos la temática explicada anteriormente.

"Our task is to embody in ourselves this transient, temporal earth so deeply, passionately, and with so much agony as to have its essence arise 'invisibly' inside us. “This statement of R. M. Rilke gives one a deep insight into the art of Lev Markosyan. He has retained faith in the process of painting as an exclusive act of cognition and radical renewal of the world. The multilayer, thingish pictorial surface of his paintings, the continuous alteration of pressure and gesture on the canvas, the alternating black and ochroid colors, a sudden intervention of a sign - all this tends to distort the size of the canvas surface, which opens up for further transformations, denoting numerous possibilities for metaphoric interpretation of the artist's subject matter (August, My Land). For Markosyan, painting was never an end in itself, or a drive for self-affirmation. A muralist by training, he has worked much in monumental art, making frescoes and mosaics, while constantly seeking to renew his pictorial language. But it was painting that became the artist's sole form of hope, his response to the horrors of everyday reality. It is as if he dares to re-create the world as a vast canvas, to paint it and to shape it anew, by performing the single and ultimate demiurgic act, which alone conceals and expresses the whole mystery of being. "My pictures are artifacts of my existence," says the artist. His images are born out of vague associations, hints, wafts, or remembrances. At times, the artist will destroy an existing structure and gradually fill it with coats of paint to an extent where it seems to be no longer discernible. He can work on a painting for years, now applying coat after coat to a painted surface, now again removing it, and the whole process repeating itself. Whether it is history, or something he once happened to see-the artist's memory filters it all, changing it, or imparting to it a touch of nostalgia, melancholy, duality, or elements of tragedy. He has found his own unique language, which synthesizes different traditions, transforming impulses from the "historical avant-garde" (Matisse, Rouault, Kandinsky, Kokoschka), and contemporary artists (Keefer, Richter, Baselitz).

Many of Markosyan's canvases are based on a fine balance between the illusion of reality and an abstract symbolic space, between object and sign. He applies his colours now with light, now with thick brushstrokes, then removes them and reverts again to his subject, achieving the highest point of expressiveness. One's eye plunges delightedly into a pulsating pictorial mass, snatching within its colourful medley separate images - a fish, a bird, or a human figure, - which are perceived as signs evoking various associations. The artist's vision is tragic. "I keep feeling an approaching disaster," he says. Atypical romantic, Markosyan is forever trying to break loose out of the fetters of reality, while at the same time dreading to do so. In his March, weird, dark human figures, shown against the backdrop of a snow-filled, desolate landscape, can be seen as generalized signs of enervated, broken-down creatures guilty of the antagonism between Man and Nature. According to the artist, even as he comes up to a canvas, he has an anticipation of SOMETHING, and as he mixes his paints he is guided by presentience not knowledge.
Markosyan sets great store by his material; it is in a struggle with it that these sensations are actualized. As he applies paints to a canvas, they find their intended place as if by themselves. This starts an interaction of motions and transformations until, suddenly, there miraculously appears a THING. A sign, a gesture coupled with a colour capture the pictorial surface, space, turning it into a model of a rapidly changing existential continuum. Light seems to be coming forth from the depths of Homage to Rilke, which is done in burning tones of gold and orange. His colours become transparent, acquire spatial continuity... Strange, enigmatic, symbolic, geometricised configurations now show through, now disappear in a luminous substance, like signs of another, higher reality. "A true song has a different essence. A whirl. A breathing in God. The soul of voids" (Rilke). Markosyan's abstract, non-figurative intermutations apparently do not depict anything at all, but the magical atmosphere he creates evokes a wide range of associations, revealing a host of meanings. In the artist's work, every motif is inimitable in its own way; it either embodies a foreboding, conveys a person's state of being (Requiem, Solitude), or takes on a symbolic twist (Bowl).

Michael Garmash was born in 1969 in Lugansk, Ukraine. He began painting at the age of three and by six started his formal education at the Lugansk Youth Creative Center. His works were sent by his teachers to a variety of Exhibitions in Ukraine, Russia, Czechoslovakia and Hungary. Michael received first prizes at several juried Exhibitions, including the Lugansk Regional Juried Exhibition-1977 (Best Poster), the Czechoslovakian International Youth Competition-1978, and the Hungarian International Art Competition of Circus Related Art-1978.
In 1987, he graduated valedictorian from the Lugansk State Fine Art College and started teaching there the following year. From 1989 to 1991, he served in the army and in 1992 began studying at the St. Petersburg Academy of Art.

Michael graduated from this prestigious school five years later at the head of his class 1977 was a memorable year. A documentary about outstanding achievers in art, featuring Valueva, was shown in movie theaters across Russia. The same year she was highlighted on the front page of a popular monthly magazine "Soviet Union". Few realize achieving this fame in their lifetime, much less as a youngster.
During his student years, Michael started exhibiting in France, at galleries in such cities as Paris, St. Etienne, Avignon, Lion and Marcel. Michael also took part in the annual Exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Russia. In addition to painting, Michael has also excelled in the creation of stained-glass windows and received an honorary medal for his work in the Suvorov Military Museum in St. Petersburg.

Nació en una casa de madera cerca del parque de Sokolniki en Moscú. Comenzó a dibujar y a mostrar su capacidad artística a la edad de tres o cuatro años. A menudo se sentaba sobre el regazo de su padre y terminaba los dibujos que él empezaba. Comenzó a asistir a una escuela de bellas artes a la edad de siete años. Por aquel tiempo, dedicaba la primera mitad de su día a la escuela seglar, encontrando exigencias por parte de sus maestros, y la segunda mitad a clases de arte hasta las nueve de la noche.
Aburrido con el estilo de Paul Cézanne en el que se centraba su escuela de bellas artes, Kush comenzó a mezclar imágenes surrealistas pintando su primer cuadro de este estilo a los catorce años. Experimentó con diferentes estilos impresionistas después de ver un libro de Salvador Dalí de los años ’80, mas este estilo no prevaleció en su obra. Influido por su padre, científico de oficio, piensa que la pintura realista muestra la capacidad profesional del artista adentrando al espectador en un mundo fantástico, como haría un matemático. Éste, fascinado por lo que ve, acepta lo suficiente dichas imágenes imposibles como para ver metáforas en ellas y explorar sus diferentes significados.

A los diecisiete años, entró en el Instituto de Arte de Moscú y, con dieciocho, se le ordenó pintar los murales y lonas de infantería mientras cumplía sus dos años de servicio militar obligatorio.
En 1987, comenzó a vender sus pinturas y exposiciones dentro de la Unión de Artistas. Por aquel tiempo le invitaron a pintar una serie de retratos para el personal de embajada estadounidense. Sin embargo, tuvo que dejarlos de lado su después de que la KGB lo hiciera sospechoso de apoyar a los norteamericanos debido a algunos libros que leía durante su servicio militar.
En 1990, presentó sus trabajos en Alemania junto a otros dos artistas rusos. Tiempo después visitó Los Ángeles para una nueva exposición y se quedó en los Estados Unidos. En 1991 su sueño se hizo realidad. Por mucho tiempo había alquilado un pequeño garaje en Los Ángeles para pintar, mas no podía mostrar sus cuadros en ningún sitio. Con el dinero que ganó dibujando gente sobre el muelle de embarque en Santa Mónica compró un ticket para Hawai y durmió sobre la playa de Santa Mónica hasta el día de su partida.

Su arte fue observado primero en el continente asiático y después en América. En 2001 abrió su primera galería, el en Lahaina, Hawai. Actualmente tiene otra galería en la Playa Laguna de California.
"Vladimir Kush es un pintor ruso identificado con el movimiento del realismo metafórico. Nació en 1965 en Moscú, y experimento con varios estilos del impresionismo cuando vio un libro de Salvador Dalí en los 80’s. Biography - CHRISTINE COMYN

Christine Comyn demonstrated a natural aptitude for painting and drawing at very young age and refined her artistic talents at the Saint-Luke Academy in Ghent (Belgium). Upon completing her education, she worked as an illustrator for Lannoo book publishers from 1978 until 1983. In 1981, at the age of 24, she became an instructor at the Academy of Modern Art in Tielt, and maintained this position until 1997.
Eventually, Christine yearned to explore a more expressive approach through her own art and abandoned painting by order. In 1983, Comyn’s artistic journey began by mastering the delicate and unpredictable technique of watercolour. Her figurative watercolours showed graceful young females and were soon recognised by Mr. Willy Bosschem, director of the Academy of Modern Art of Ostend (Belgium), who invited her to exhibit in the "Thermae Palace Hotel" in Ostend in 1988. Her first professionally organised solo exhibition was an overwhelming success and the entire collection of watercolours sold out.

Being confident and creative Comyn chose to abandon her solely figurative style and unleashed a body of work that earned her recognition by a most discriminating international clientele. Refusing to adopt a wild and free-form style Comyn instead preferred to explore the potentialities of colour and rhythm, without neglecting the need for structure. The result: explosive colour compositions that possessed a unique pictorial tension amidst logical balance.
In 1991 Christine Comyn was selected by L’Oreal Cosmetics Group in Brussels to execute a series of paintings inspired by their new fragrance line. The artist’s translation of complex aromas in extraordinary visual images became the focus of a national promotional campaign and the publication of the limited edition lithographs: "Turbulent" and "Shimmering Light". The recognition earned through this endeavour propelled Comyn’s reputation in the Contemporary Art World to new heights.

Thomas Leung was born May 30th, 1958, in Kowloon, Hong Kong. He inherited his artistic talent from his father, H. Leung. As a little boy, he would watch his father create beauty on canvas, and from that early on he just knew that he, too , would become an artist.

That he had artistic abilities became apparent when he was still very young and would win awards for drawing in school. His father encouraged his interest in art an later became his revered tutor.

Already as a teenager, Thomas Leung exhibited his first paintings at the same gallery in Hong Kong where his father's work were shown, but then his family immigrated to the United States, and he went back to college there, to major in art.

While still in college, he started to develop his own individual style, finding exciting new ways to express his own novel ideas. He experimented with colors, creating new concepts, and finding new paths of artistic development. After graduation from college, he started to show his paintings on exhibitions in museums and art shows, and awards and honors began coming his way.

Today, Thomas Leung creates canvases of great diversity: dreamy landscapes and magical fantasies, striking abstracts in bold colors, and pastels of multi hued iridescence. But whatever the style, they all show a masterful harmonizing of color, and a vibrant vitality. His paintings can be seen at many prestigious galleries throughout the United States.

Born in 1941 in Valencia, Spain, Royo began demonstrating his artistic talent early. At the age of 9 his father, a prominent physician and avid art enthusiast, employed private tutors to instruct Royo in drawing, painting, and sculpture. When Royo turned 14 he entered the San Carlos Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Valencia. Upon turning 18 Royo continued his artistic studies privately with Aldolfo Ferrer Amblat, Chairman of Art Studies at the San Carlos Academy. He also visited the major museums in Europe at this time to study the famous masters-Velasquez, Goya, Renoir, Monet, and Sorolla among others.
During the mid-60's-early 70's Royo added more dimensions to his skills creating theatre sets and doing graphic illustration and restoration work. He also participated in prestigious competitions gaining major distinctions. In 1968 he began to exhibit in Spain, specifically Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona. With positive reception of his works in Madrid, Royo received commissions to paint the royal portraits of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia. He received subsequent commissions to paint the Judges of the High Magistrature and the Court of Justice, as well as prominent political and society figures.
At the age of 25 Royo began feeling a growing desire to paint the land of his birth; to convey the light, the color and the intensity of Valencia and the Mediterranean. This meant a new focus and change of style in his work; he needed to perfect new ways to capture the light, the shadow and to work on classical composition styles. Through the 1980's Royo perfected his style of painting the Mediterranean and exhibited abroad, notably in London, Brussels, Copenhagen and Paris. He also participated in the International Geneva Art Fair.

Beginning in 1989 and continuing until today we see the development of Royo's "matured" style. His dramatic use of color and "texturing" capture his subject matter with unique flair. Parallels can be drawn to the work of the European masters; for example, with Royo's "homage to the female form," we see the distinct influence of Renoir. It is the similar, almost portrait-like treatment of the female model, caught in a serene, contemplative moment, with the surrounding "bursts" of color from the floral landscapes where we see the "Renoir" in Royo's work. In fact, critics have concluded, "If the artwork of Renoir were blended with that of the 'Valencian painters' you would arrive at the canvasses approaching the uniqueness of the impressive work of Royo."
Impressive parallels can also be drawn between Royo's work and that of the Spanish master, Joaquin Sorolla. Both were born in Valencia, both were classically trained, both "matured" into styles of painting capturing the dramatic visual essence of their homeland-Valencia and the Mediterranean Sea. They have both been described as "painters of the Light"; some have said, "of the Light of the South," that is, the southern coast of Spain. It is the overwhelming influence of Sorolla blended with his own style that make Royo's masterful treatment of the Mediterranean subjects both haunting and mysterious, yet full of raw power at the same time. The sweeping brush strokes, bold swaths of color, and heavy impasto capture the eye and draws one inward until that final absolute moment of awareness that one is actually there in the scene feeling the light and heat of the sun, the salt and sea spray, and hearing the crashing surf. Royo conveys not merely image, but mood and atmosphere as well. This is rare in today's art world, hence the connoisseur is compelled to compare with the old masters. Thus, the appeal of Royo's work for today's collector becomes obvious. With pride we offer the art work of today's Spanish master painter, Royo, to the art connoisseurs of the world.

Hu Jundi Hu Jun Di was born in the Jilin province in Northern China in 1962. He moved with his family at the height of the Cultural Revolution to the city of Chongqing where he was able to secretly study painting at 9 under a renowned Chinese instructor, a renowned instructor who has trained some of modern China’s most celebrated artists. After the revolution, he continued his training in the oil department of the Southwest Educational College.

Pino Daeni, born Giuseppe Dangelico, in Italy on November 8, 1939, began his studies at the Art Institute of Bari. In 1960, Pino entered Milan's Academy of Brera where he came under the influence of the Pre-Raphaelites and Macchiaioli and his talents for painting nudes developed.
After establishing himself as a successful artist in his native Italy and throughout Europe, Pino immigrated to the United States where he devoted thirteen years to illustrating book covers for such publishers as Dell, Zebra, and Rizzoli.

Artist Bruce Marion’s paintings explore the landscapes of personal growth, capturing the emotional content and courage of our private journeys, and the triumph of our arrivals. “I want to represent the blinding truth of those ‘Aha Moments’ of true insight as well as the confusion and uncertainty we all experience along our paths,” says Marion.
The circle as metaphor has been a presence in Marion’s paintings for many years. “It’s elemental,” he says, “Almost primal. It represents our journeys and our lessons that keep coming back around. I like the fact that no single point on a circle is more important than any other point. Every point on the path is an equally important part of the journey. Whether we think of it as a good or bad experience, it’s all helping us to our destination.”
Expressing this intricacy and depth on canvas involves creating multiple layers of images. To this end, Marion begins each piece with a very vivid and energetic palette knife composition, with thick swirls and streaks of saturated color slashed across the canvas. Marion then layers coat upon coat of sheer glazes over this base, creating a delicate balance between what is hidden and what is allowed to bleed through. “This gives it subtext. Anna Carll creates images of incomparable richness and texture. Her elegantly stylized figures inhabit a world of lush warm hues and deep cool colors that possess an inner radiance that seduces the viewer. When this is combined with Carll’s unerring sense of composition, the results are paintings that have both power and beauty. Her work has been winning collectors from all over the country.
Music has always been a tremendous inspiration to the artist and it is evident in her sensitive and vibrant portrayals of musical greats such as Charlie Parker and Mozart. Her use of patterns of color and texture within her paintings can be compared to a composer arranging notes to create a harmony and an emotional impact.
A transformation occurred in her art when she discovered the beautiful properties of wood. The artist’s current work is an exploration of acrylic and oil on hand-carved wood. She begins each painting by randomly applying different kinds of textural effects onto the wooden surface. She sometimes carves the wood and sometimes applies other textures on top of the surface. Through this marriage of color and texture, she allows the image to emerge. As an intuitive painter, she infuses each painting with vivid color and emotion to frame her mysterious figures.
In addition to music, she finds other inspiration and content through her research and observation of the past. Some of her figures are derived from ancient, classical or renaissance sculpture. She sees her art as a means to respond on a personal level, to current events or an interest in a particular subject matter.

Now residing in the North Georgia Mountains, Carll was born in West Virginia and raised in Sarasota, Florida. Her early influences were imprinted in a tropical but urban setting. After receiving a Bachelor of Art Degree in graphic design from the University of Florida, she lived and worked in the Atlanta area for 16 years. In the mid-nineties, she made the decision to commit herself to being a full-time professional painter. A decision she has never regretted.
After studying briefly with the late Ouida Canaday, Anna evolved primarily as a self-taught painter. Her main influences have been Picasso, Miro, de Kooning and Jean-Claude Gaugy.

Johanna Walters is beeldend kunstenaar en woont in Bergen NH. Ze schildert vooral met olieverf op doek. Haar werken kenmerken zich door de uitbundige kleuren en door de thema's. In alle gevallen gaat het om geabstraheerde voorstellingen.
Zij schildert mensen, meestal in groepen. Deze mensen hebben iets met elkaar. Het kan zijn dat ze gezellig in een café zitten, of aan het vergaderen zijn. Soms is het gewoon een familieportret.

Daarnaast schildert zij tamelijk abstracte landschappen en stadsgezichten. Deze voorstellingen zijn geïnspireerd door wat zij in haar omgeving ziet. Zo heeft ze de duinen in haar woonplaats vertaald in 'duinschappen'. Het werk verandert voortdurend. De laatste tijd grijpt zij terug op meer abstracte impressies van landschappen.
Johanna is al vijftien jaar professioneel als kunstenaar bezig. Zij neemt jaarlijks deel aan de Kunst-10-daagse in Bergen, een kunstroute langs tientallen ateliers en galeries in Bergen en Bergen aan Zee. The act of creating has been a part of my life as far back as I can remember. As an only child I entertained myself making clothes for frogs, having tea parties with my dog and cat, creating plays with neighborhood friends, designing paper doll clothes, and drawing. I lay on the floor and copied paintings from art books. In fourth grade I was selected to paint part of a mural on the wall of the school cafeteria...Dutch children in their native costumes. I’ve studied dance, been active in theater groups, designed needlepoint canvases and clothes, written short stories, designed costumes for theater groups, created curricula for school systems and training modules for scientific labs. In my lifetime, I’ve stuck my toe in so many creative endeavors, I’ve lost count, but art has always been the foundation to everything else.
I studied drawing and painting at Silvermine Art School in New Canaan, Connecticut, the Art League of Houston, Texas, and Laguna Gloria in Austin, Texas, as well as with individual instructors and independent study in Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico. Over time, I’ve worked with oils, watercolors, acrylics and collage. And have shown work at international and national juried exhibits, solo shows, galleries, on-line, at invitationals and in print. Today I live and paint in the Texas Hill Country and Marfa, Texas, deriving enormous connection from the ancestral muses of these places.

With a doctorate in adult learning and organizational change, I worked at a research lab in Houston, Texas, for 20 years, with scientists and engineers to develop ways to transfer their technology to company affiliates. A big part of my job was to make complex abstract concepts understandable and applicable in the workplace. This is very similar to what I want my abstract art to do, to make the complex accessible. Prior to that, as a school counselor I used art and play therapy in a Houston-area school district in working with children.

Arshak Nersisian was born on Novermber1, 1952 in Armenia.He has graduated from the Termezian Special Art School and thereafter from the Yerevan Academy of Fine Art, majoring in Painting and Graphics. My passion for painting began the day I tried to carry out a canvas. The exuberance of the material acted like a click.
Painting occupied previously only my leisure because I devoted itself entirely to the evolution and the balance of my small family.
The rewards obtained in the various exposures of paintings encouraged me to continue my artistic step.
The change towards a more marked painting since 2002 is the result of several situations reversals in my life.
When my production seemed to me finally worthy to be shown, all hesitation was fall. I HAD BECOME A PAINTER!.

HESSAM ABRISHAMI - Born in the city of Shiraz, Iran in 1951, Hessam Abrishami was the son of middle class parents and one of eight brothers and sisters. At age 15, through the inspiration and encouragement of a high school teacher, Hessam discovered both his love of art and his own talent for painting. As a result he became almost obsessed with painting.

Hessam, at age 17, received his first award for painting and went on to win top honors in painting in an all-country student competition in Iran. At age 19, he achieved first place honors in the "Iranian New Artists Competition." Many other national and international honors and recognitions have followed since.

He went on to study in Italy - a place he considered "the center of art in Europe." It was in Perugia, Italy that he studied and completed his Master's Degree in Fine Arts at the Accademi De Belle Arti "Pietro Vanucci."
Hessam emigrated to Los Angeles, California where he continues to expand his creativity. He explores a realm which the French press has called "A statement in the fluidity of human figures . . . He creates a tension between each figure, a kinship of place or condition that provokes the viewer to seek reasons for such relationships." Greatly influenced by modern masters from Cezanne to Picasso, Hessam's boldly colorful paintings are filled with love and laughter, music and dance.

BIOGRAPHY - IRENE SHERI

Irene Sheri was born in the city of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky, Ukraine in 1968. Her diverse heritage probably makes her one of the brightest example of a new breed of inter-cultural artists emerging from a "Europe without borders". A mix of Bulgarian and French, she was born and raised in the Ukrainian city of Odessa, where cultures freely mixed, making Odessa one of the most colorful, bright and multinational cities in the world.
At an early age Irene knew she was going to be an artist. After several years of artistic training, she graduated valedictorian from the prestigious Saint Petersburg Avademy of Art. This renowned school, created in the eighteenth century, has influenced many masters in its years of existence, such as K. Briuollov, A. Ivanov, I. Repine, V. Sourikov and more.
Irene drew inspiration from the work of Botticelli, Chagall, Kandinsky, Picasso, and Goya. However Cezanne and Matisse made the deepest impact. Avant-garde Russian students, Falk, Konchalovsky, Mashkov, Lentulov, were followers of these French artists. Calling themselves the "Jack of Diamonds", a name proposed by Larionov (a member), suggested not only the roguish behavior of the avant-garde, but conveyed a love of popular graphic art forms...such as vintage printed playing cards.

The "Jack of Diaminds" group avoided realism, instead constructing a 3-D reality using mono-colored bright palettes. These color intensive representations of realistic images freed the imagination, allowing the development of artistic impressionism as counterpoint to the social realism of artists schooled in traditional art.
At school, Irene experimented with images and colors, allowing herself to paint landscapes with contrasts of light and shadow similar to the "Russian Expressionistic Movement" of artistic predecessors. Irene's style evolved from the influence of a renegade professor, who told his students - "After so many years at school you now are able to copy the world surrounding you. It is about time you let yourself create a world that is totally yours, that comes from within your soul".
Irene's paintings express her love of life, a toast to its wonder and beauty. Sheri's talent and style were recognized in 2001 when she was awarded Russia's highest artistic honor, the "State Award for Outstanding Achievement in Art", naming her as the "Best and Brightest" young artist in Russia.

Muriel Cayet was born in 1961 near Paris. She was mediator during fifteen years, but also literary adviser and training teacher. This art-therapeutist is a specialist in the account of life. Account of life used as a tool for change of its relation with "the other", of its own vision, but also as personal development tools. Colourist painter, she lives and works today in Mareuil sur Arnon (France). One could qualify the artist of “travel partner” because the art-therapy is a kind of accompaniment in creation.

“To paint, it's to create oneself”, she said in an interview while speaking about the act of painting. The non-premeditation in creative act lets think that there is a vital need behind that, not only with regard to painting but also for writing. This is an immediate need to satisfy. This is indeed in this manner that the artist perceives his act of faith through art.

She says to us this “from the white canvas to the work realized, the major thoughts, blockings, desires, take form, go back to the shape of random access memory which is expressed with the brush, the notes, the writing or by the movements of the bodies, but they are transformed, sublimated or even more distant”. It returns us to our self-knowledge, to the knowledge of our limits, of our defects, of our interior structure more or less marked by the life which we convey through the experiment of the ages and through the art, which can be painted or written.
“Any creation makes it possible to give a meaning to life and (...) a meaning to death… which makes sense only if it does not represent an absolute end, but a suspension of existence; the memory, and the memory- works remaining”. Muriel Cayet fascinated by creation and life is also a philosopher. She admits to fill wonder with nothing. She transforms everything into action, emotion, impulse, energy of life. She was nominated in 2007, academician of the AIBAQ. She was recognized expert in art by her pars.

Point of view:
Muriel Cayet has a large professional knowledge. The number of distinctions and prices is the first visible sign of her notoriety throughout the world. She is a sure value on the international art market. She is well known in at least thirteen countries, of which France, the United States, China, Principauté de Monaco, Denmark, Greece, Turkey, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, England, Japan and Canada… and nothing lets predict that she will remain about it there. She is an extremely prolific artist having a vast production. The number of its annual exposures is about fifty.

Diseñador Industrial de la Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano y Estudiante activo de la Academia de Artes Guerrero. En una primera etapa representa en su arte figurativo, al hombre y principalmente a la mujer en diferentes técnicas como pintura al oleo, pastel, acuarela y escultura en bronce y terracota.

Posteriormente a este periodo y tocado en lo mas profundo de su alma por la situación de nuestro país transmite en una nueva serie de oleos el sentimiento del colombiano abrumado y desconsolado ante el panorama de nuestra Colombia Actual.

La temática de mis obras nace como reflejo del dolor de patria, de lo que un ciudadano Colombiano siente, percibe, vive y sufre, a veces impotente como los niños y ancianos, otras como protagonistas activos de las fuerzas en conflicto, o como los miles de campesinos desplazados por esta pugna, otras veces como un simple espectador impotente de su destino, de un país donde en el choque de titanes le estamos entregando a esta tierra hermosa, privilegiada en la geografía mundial, en el clima, en sus aguas y mares, riqueza natural inmensurable, a esta tierra le estamos entregando nuestro hijos, los hijos de la patria, los hijos de la violencia. Me enseñaron cuando era niño que la tierra se siembra con semillas no con los cuerpos de nuestros hermanos, se riega con agua no con la sangre de Colombianos y que los frutos de ella son amor y no el odio por nosotros mismos.

Yo amo a mi país y guardo la esperanza de verlo renacer y poder vibrar de nuevo con esa energía positiva, llevarla en la mirada y podérselo entregar a mis hijos con orgullo y que de ellos puedan germinar en esta tierra sus esperanzas y anhelos. Todos estamos unidos en esta aventura y lo que hagamos a los demás bueno o malo finalmente nos lo estamos haciendo a nosotros mismos.

En mis cuadros hay tristeza y melancolía, pero también hay esperanza, esperanza basada en el entendimiento, y la tolerancia, somos diferentes como una tuerca y un tornillo pero todos somos y hacemos parte de este Barco que es Colombia, somos piezas complementarias que nos necesitamos para guiar a este Barco a cruzar la peor tempestad pero con la seguridad de que al otro lado esta la calma, con la seguridad con la que la noche se entrega al día, con la seguridad con la que el amor derrota al dolor…

BIOGRAPHY - CAROLINE ARCHAMBAULT

Caroline Archambault, artiste en arts visuels, est née en 1971 à Saint-Eustache, Québec. Dès son tout jeune âge, elle découvre sa passion pour les arts et l'expression. Adolescente, elle explore d'abord la danse et sert ensuite de modèle pour le peintre Samir Kachami. Elle étudie alors le dessin avec lui et poursuit sa formation académique en dessin technique et architecture.

Plus tard, elle étudie le dessin et la peinture avec Francine Labelle pour ensuite entrer aux Beaux-arts à l'université Concordia, à Montréal. Elle a depuis, continué sa formation notamment à l'atelier de Brian Bomesler à New York et à l'institut Emily Carr de Vancouver.

Mme Archambault expose ses œuvres régulièrement à Montréal et dans les Laurentides, là où elle habite et travaille depuis 2004. Elle a également participé à une exposition au Japon en juillet 2007, accompagnée de Mme Françoise Sullivan et de Mme Nicole Cossette.
Elle a aussi créé en 2004, L'Espace Créatif, un centre d'art voué à la diffusion et à l'enseignement de la peinture contemporaine. Elle y enseigne, entre autre, les techniques intuitives de création par le lobe droit du cerveau.
À travers sa peinture, Mme Archambault exprime une vision abstraite et poétique de la réalité et explore le pouvoir de l'imaginaire et du processus créatif chez l'humain. Elle crée des espaces où la lumière et la profondeur cohabitent, où les contrastes sont à l'honneur et où la vibration des couleurs nous dansent aux yeux. Comme des paysages intérieurs que le public est appelé à déchiffrer et à ressentir. Des espaces qui inspirent la contemplation et la méditation.
Les œuvres de Caroline Archambault se retrouvent en collection privée dans plusieurs villes d’Amérique du Nord et d' Europe dont entre autre Montréal, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto et Paris.

Sami Briss was born on May 18 1930 in Jassy, Rumania.
His mother was quick to recognise and stimulate his artistic talent. Soon after the family moved to Bucharest during the Second World War, Sami Briss enrolled at the Academy, where he worked in the studio of Camil Ressu, a former student of Gustave Moreau.
After leaving the Academy, Briss was mainly active as a printmaker, producing a large number of woodcuts and lithographs which, like his early still life paintings, display the influence of Georges Braque, among others. In 1959 Briss emigrated to Israel, where he had his first retrospective in 1967 at the Nathan Gallery in Tel Aviv, and where he painted several murals in public buildings during the first half of the seventies.

Briss acquired an international reputation in the seventies and eighties from frequent exhibitions, often several a year, in Europe, Canada and the United States.
Sami Briss currently lives and works in Paris.
The work of Sami Briss reveals an introspective, dreamy, timeless world which, despite the time that has elapsed since the Artist left his native land, seems largely inspired by his childhood memories, Rumanian folklore and icon painting.
This apparently symbolic imagery has gradually expanded to include elements based on Briss'sejourn in Israel, his private life and his dreams.
His work, most of which has been done in small format since the sixties, is built up from a harmonious interplay of stylised, figurative, round shapes with flowing outlines.
The golden background invests the colours with a deep, full glow, enhancing the evocative character of the representations.
Sami Briss'art does not follow artistic trends. It is highly personal, with a powerfully poetic charge.
